Our Favourite Denim Looks: Light, Breezy & Bold

blog post 03

Denim is not one colour. The wash you choose changes the whole mood of an outfit — so this season we are styling three, from the palest summer rinse to the deepest indigo.

Light Wash: Easy & Airy

A pale, faded blue is the most relaxed wash in the drawer. It pairs beautifully with white and cream, lifts a plain tee instantly and feels right with sandals or canvas trainers. Keep the rest of the outfit light so the denim stays the softest thing in the frame.

Wear it with an oversized cotton shirt left open, a plain tank underneath and a simple leather belt. Because light denim shows every mark, treat it to a gentle cold wash inside out and it will keep that freshly-faded look far longer.

“Great denim is about ease and confidence — choosing pieces that feel like a breeze and look like a statement.”

Mid Wash: The Everyday Blue

The classic mid blue is the hardest-working wash you can own. It sits comfortably between casual and smart, which means one pair covers a Saturday brunch and a Monday meeting. Straight leg and bootcut silhouettes show it off best.

Dark Wash: Bold & Polished

Deep indigo and near-black denim do the opposite job — they slim, sharpen and dress up. Style them with a fitted knit and heeled boots for an evening look, or with a crisp shirt for something closer to tailoring. Dark washes hold their colour better than any other, so they are the pair worth investing in first.

One fabric, three completely different moods — the wash is the decision that matters most.
